About: Travis joined Special Olympics in the sixth grade at the request of his teacher. He started out in the running long jump, the 100M run and as part of a relay team. He would later join volleyball and basketball teams, medaling numerous times at the local and state level competitions.  When he’s not competing in Special Olympics, Travis helps out in his community by doing yard work for others and helping out whenever he can.

Travis says Special Olympics “made me a better person. It keeps me busy doing what I like to do.”  He is looking forward to his first World Games and especially “going and winning for our country. I want to meet new friends and play a good game of basketball with the best in the world.”
