County Program: Duval Special Olympics Athlete Since: 2006 Sports Athlete Competes In/Has Competed In: Soccer Athlete Leadership Programs Involvement: Global Messenger (2007) About: When Sarah got involved with Special Olympics, this was her first time participating in any sort of sports. Here's her record so far: 2006, Individual Soccer Skills: 1st place at County, 1st place at Area, and Silver medal at State. 2007, Soccer Team: 1st place at County, 1st place at Area, and Bronze medals at State. Now she wants to try her hand at bowling, swimming, maybe tennis, and - if we could only get the program going here in Duval - equestrian events. She enjoys swimming, playing with her dogs, computer games, dancing, and interacting with people. Sarah’s older brother and father are both assistant coaches. |
