County Program: Indian River Special Olympics Athlete Since: 1997 Sports Athlete Competes In/Has Competed In: Bowling, Aquatics, Volleyball Athlete Leadership Programs Involvement: Global Messenger (2004) About: Bowling is Alison's favorite sport because she gets to bowl with all her friends which were made because of the Special Olympics program. Special Olympics has given Alison the opportunity to make new friends as she travels. Each time she travels with Special Olympics she makes at least one new friend. Alison likes to read, go to horror films, swim and spending time with her family. She works at Altiera, which is an assisted living home, in the activities department. Alison is a Global Messenger so that she can spread the word about Special Oympics opportunities from sports to being a leader. |
