Alberto’s mother, Maria, had this to say on the effect Special Olympics has had on Alberto’s life and his trip to the World Games: “It has made life better, we feel better about Alberto getting out and having fun. It has helped him to become more independent. We are so happy and excited that he is going [World Games] and are grateful to Special Olympics for Alberto to have this opportunity.”
