CiCi's Pizza Teams Up with Special Olympics Florida

This month, all 56 CiCi’s Pizza locations across Florida will raise money for Special Olympics Florida. From Monday, July 16 through August 13, all Florida CiCi’s restaurants will give guests the opportunity to purchase and personalize “Buy a Smile, Be a Fan” Special Olympics paper logos for $1. The logos will be displayed in the restaurants and all proceeds from the logo sales will benefit Special Olympics Florida’s state programs.

The fundraiser will conclude on Aug. 13 with a “Dough Raisers” event, a one-day challenge for CiCi’s guests to purchase enough “Buy a Smile, Be a Fan” Special Olympics paper logos to cover an entire law enforcement vehicle.

“At CiCi’s we care about our communities and all the families that make them great,” said CiCi’s Field Marketing Manager Lauren Albright. “Special Olympics Florida does so much for our neighbors, and we’re honored to engage our restaurant teams and guests to give back to such a worthy cause.”

Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This training gives participants the opportunity to develop physically and emotionally while experiencing joy and participating in sharing gifts, skills and friendships.

“Special Olympics allows people with intellectual disabilities to be part of a larger community of athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters,” said President/CEO of Special Olympics Florida Monty Castevens. “Partnerships with organizations like CiCi’s Pizza allow us to boost our fundraising efforts and help more individuals and families in Florida.”

CiCi’s will partner with other statewide Special Olympics chapters in the South Atlantic, including North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia on this fundraising event.
