About The Great Charity Challenge
Each year, the GCC identifies local nonprofits and raises money for them through
the Winter Equestrian Festival, held at the Palm Beach Equestrian
Center. The event takes place in February, with organizers hoping to
raise more than $1 million for nonprofits serving residents of Palm
Beach County. The GCC receives most of its contributions from the
equestrian community in Wellington, Florida.
The GCC is a pro-am show jumping event featuring more than 20 teams of three riders, ranging in age from 11 to 70. Each team is randomly assigned to a charity to compete for the prize money. Founded in 2009 by Paige Bellissimo and Equestrian Sport Productions, the GCC has distributed more than $15.9 million to 276 non-profits in Palm Beach County since its formation. We are incredibly grateful to be included in this year’s group of nonprofits.
