About Special Olympics Florida Golf Open

The Open is one of the premier golf fundraising events in the world, bringing together South Florida corporate citizens along with Miami Heat and Carnival executives, to make a huge impact in the lives of our athletes. This tournament will be transforming Special Olympics Florida, by allowing us to add services and reach many more athletes. 

About Reception Venue

Designed to resemble back-to-back guitars, complete with guitar faces and brightly lit strings, this engineering masterpiece reaches 450 feet into the sky, outfitted with floor-to-ceiling glass panes. Boasting the sun-filled and sunset-laden South Florida skies, The Guitar Hotel is truly an architectural marvel that redefines the South Florida skyline. The Golf Open guests will enjoy an unparalleled evening of high-caliber networking receptions, the evening before the golf tournament, in the Oasis Room at Council Oak, DAER Rooftop and PLA Sports Bar.

About the Golf Courses

The Jacaranda Golf Club features the legendary West Golf Course. Traditionally labeled the “shot makers” course, there are lagoons to avoid, doglegs to challenge, bunkers that tighten landing areas, and green complexes that will challenge every caliber of player. The mix of holes on the West Course is designed to challenge both the physical and mental agility of the player’s game. The outward nine is more forgiving with receptive green complexes and shortcut areas, while the inward nine is more challenging, particularly with more boldly contoured greens and their surroundings. Shot-making, creativity, and patience are key components to negotiating the inward holes.
