The Family Action Network is launching Family Connections Webinars, a new monthly series created to bring Special Olympics families together in a supportive, welcoming space. These virtual gatherings focus on meaningful connection—linking families to valuable information, practical resources, and, most importantly, to one another.
Each session will highlight topics that matter most to our community, from navigating available programs and services to sharing personal experiences, practical strategies, and family success stories. Our goal is to create an open forum where families can learn, ask questions, and feel empowered—while discovering they’re never navigating this journey alone.
Family Connections Webinars will take place on the first Thursday of every month at 6PM.
We’re excited to launch our first session with a presentation from Kim Thorne of Project 10: Transition Education Network. She will share The 411 on the Big 5: Sharing Transition-Related Information with Students with Disabilities and Their Families. This resource provides essential contacts and links related to the five organizations outlined in Section 1003.5716, Florida Statutes, all dedicated to supporting students and families through secondary and post-secondary transition.
Preregistration is FREE and required to attend.
