Athlete Performs National Anthem in South Florida

Special Olympics Florida athlete Aristide Reinoso was recently invited to perform the National Anthem at Miami-Dade County’s State of the County Address – and he blew the crowd away.

A music student at Miami-Dade College, Aristide sang the anthem a capella, decked out in a bright red Special Olympics Florida 50^th anniversary sweatshirt. His performance wowed those in attendance and was described as “incredible” by the master of ceremonies. You can watch Ari’s performance here. He is introduced at the 18-minute mark.

The State of the County address by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava was delivered on January 24 at Zoo Miami. Aristide performed for more than 800 residents, elected officials, and civic leaders.
