Miami Race for Inclusion Kickoff Event

Community leaders in Miami recently welcomed Special Olympics Florida supporters and athletes to South Florida for a Miami Race for Inclusion kickoff event. The Race for Inclusion is Special Olympics Florida’s statewide campaign that seeks to create communities of inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities.

Corporate partners and local leaders met at Gekko’s restaurant to promote the race and support our athletes. Ron Goncalves, President and General Manager, Florida at Nomi Health – a Gold Sponsor of the Miami Race for Inclusion -- welcomed the attendees.

Special Olympics Florida also presented the Family of the Year award to the Alvarez family, recognizing their exceptional contributions and commitment over the past 10 years.

The Race for Inclusion will take place on December 6, at Bayfront Park. You can sign up for that race – or any remaining races – at RaceforInclusion.org.
