Celebrating Our Volunteers

April is National Volunteer Month, so we wanted to shout out a few of the incredible volunteers who work to create unforgettable moments for our athletes across the state.

Today, we recognize the Nunez family from the South Region. The family has been part of the Special Olympics Florida community since 2007, when their son became an athlete. Since then, the family has been a crucial part of our volunteer corps, coaching multiple sports, setting up and breaking down events, serving lunches, ensuring our sound systems work, and doing anything else asked of them.

Their commitment to our athletes is inspiring, and we are so grateful to have them on our team.
