A message from our President & CEO: National Volunteer Month
Dear Champions, From everyone at Special Olympics Florida, I want to wish you a Happy National Volunteer Month! Our 55,000-plus volunteers are the backbone of our organization. They make our work possible, and they are our athletes’ biggest fans. They come from every walk of life—serving as coaches, Unified partners, and mentors. They raise critical funds, support competitions, and ensure our athletes feel welcomed, prepared, and celebrated. Their commitment shows up in countless ways, and it never goes unnoticed. 
Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver believed that every person has the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Our volunteers bring that belief to life every day—helping people with intellectual disabilities lead happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. To our volunteers: this work simply wouldn’t be possible without you. You are at the heart of our mission, and we are truly grateful that you’ve chosen to be part of it.
