Congratulations to the Broward County Unified Bowling Team, which recently competed at the 32nd annual Special Olympics National Unified Bowling Championship in Las Vegas.

The team, made up of 11 Special Olympics Florida athletes and nine Unified partners, joined more than 500 athletes and Unified partners from 17 Special Olympics programs across the country for this three-day event. The competition featured doubles and team formats, bringing individuals with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team.

Special Olympics Florida athletes took home 10 gold, two silver, and six bronze medals. Top performers included Amanda Blumenthal and Tamara Duke – who won gold medals in both teams and doubles – and Kahem Stewart and Jaden Mahadeo, who captured gold in teams play and bronze in doubles.
