In honor of Black History Month, Special Olympics Florida is highlighting some of its incredible athletes.

Terrence Freelove

• Athlete Leader and Global Messenger
• Member of Special Olympics Florida for 13 years
• Participates in multiple sports, including athletics (track and field), surfing, and softball
• “Special Olympics Florida is important to me because it’s the place where I can try new things and meet new people.”
• “My favorite Special Olympics Florida memory is when I was selected to speak in front of Publix management about Special Olympics and being a Publix employee. My proudest accomplishment is when I was named Special Olympics Florida - Palm Beach County Athlete of the Year.”
