Family Connections Webinars Debut in April

Special Olympics Florida’s Family Action Network is launching Family Connections Webinars, a new monthly series created to bring Special Olympics families together. These virtual gatherings focus on meaningful connection—linking families to valuable information, practical resources, and, most importantly, to one another.

Each session will highlight topics important to our community, from navigating available programs and services to sharing personal experiences, practical strategies, and family success stories. Our goal is to create a forum where families can learn, ask questions, and feel empowered.

Our first webinar will take place on Thursday, April 2, at 6 p.m. It will feature Kim Thorne of Project 10: Transition Education Network. Kim will discuss resources that are available to support people with intellectual disabilities and their families as they transition out of secondary and post-secondary education. Pre-registration is required to attend. Webinars will take place on the first Thursday of every month.
