Jabil Highlighted as Sponsor of Unified Sports in West Coast Region
For the second year in a row, Jabil Inc. has been recognized as the Presenting Sponsor
of Special Olympics Unified Sports program in the West Coast Region.
This partnership highlights Jabil’s continued dedication and commitment
to fostering inclusion, both on the field and in the workplace.
Special
Olympics Unified Sports brings together athletes with and without
intellectual disabilities on the same team, breaking down barriers, and
building lasting connections. Jabil’s support goes beyond financial
backing; it's an investment in a future where inclusion is the norm. Their involvement showcases the power of sports in creating shared experiences that bring people together.
Jabil’s
commitment to an inclusive environment is also evident in their
corporate culture. Recently, the company was honored as a 2024 Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion,
earning a top score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index®. This
recognition highlights Jabil’s dedication to advancing disability
inclusion in the workplace.
The
impact of this partnership is further amplified by the compassion of
Jabil’s employees. Through the Jabil Cares platform, they volunteer
their time and energy, offering support and encouragement to our
athletes. Jabil has consistently supported key events like the Pinellas
County Bowling Competition, Area 5 Swimming Competition, West Coast Region Fall Classic, and the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando. Their efforts
reflect a broader commitment to the communities where they live and
work.
“I
enjoy volunteering in the Special Olympics Florida because it gives me
the opportunity to support and encourage athletes with physical or
intellectual disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and full
potential,” said Caroline Flores-Pinto, senior global mobility manager.
“The joy and determination I witness from the participants is incredibly
inspiring and fulfilling.”
We
are deeply grateful for Jabil’s partnership with Special Olympics
Florida, and we look forward to seeing their employees volunteer with us
at upcoming events.
