Special Olympics Florida triathlete Chris Nikic joined the likes of NFL great Patrick Mahomes, international soccer superstar Mo Salah, and tennis legend Billie Jean King recently when he won a prestigious Laureus Award for Sporting Moment of the Year!

Chris was honored for inspiring people across the globe by becoming the first person with Down syndrome to complete a full IRONMAN triathlon –- that’s a 2.4 mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile marathon.
