Fundraising Events and Promotions

Every year, Special Olympics Florida holds several major specialty fundraising events as well as ongoing fundraising programs, that help support our local Special Olympics programs.  These are great ways to get involved and help raise money, all while having a lot of FUN!

• 11:00pm - 12:00pm- Travel to water portion/Lunch 
• 12:00pm - 2:00pm - Water Portion 

Important Information: 
• The classroom portion will be held at Clinician's MJ Weibling residence.  5 Blue Ave. #703 Naples, FL 34108 (Gate Code- call MJ @239-370-6727)
• The water portion will follow the classroom portion at Wiggins State Park 
• Bring your own equipment or contact MJ Weibling if you need equipment. 
• Dress in comfortable water attire and be prepared for the Florida heat. 
• Snacks/water will be provided for classroom portion 
• Lunch is not provided; please bring your lunch.

  • Classroom Session 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.: Introduction, overview, review coach’s resources, paperwork requirements, review rules, & discuss best practices
  • Water Session 11:30 – 2:00 p.m.: Review techniques, safety concerns, and best coaching practices

Things to Remember: Come dressed to participate in the water. Please be sure the coaches have completed their Class A form, Protective Behaviors Training, Concussion Certification and First Aid/CPR certification prior to the training.
