Every year, Special Olympics Florida holds several major specialty fundraising events as well as ongoing fundraising programs, that help support our local Special Olympics programs. These are great ways to get involved and help raise money, all while having a lot of FUN!
Marion County Bowling Competition

The Knights of Columbus – longtime supporters of Special Olympics Florida – are planning a special event to benefit our athletes at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on August 28, at Daytona International Speedway. Tickets are $65, with $10 of every ticket sold going to support Special Olympics Florida. Purchase includes pre-race tailgating, race day gift bag, silent auction, and a meet-and-greet with Special Olympics Florida athlete Chris Nikic. Chris is the first person with Down syndrome to complete a full Ironman competition.

The Knights of Columbus have stood shoulder to shoulder with Special Olympics since 1968. Its members serve as fundraisers, mentors, Unified partners, and volunteers. Knights of Columbus Florida were awarded the 2020 Eunice Kennedy Shriver award by Special Olympics Florida.

As long-standing partners, Microsoft and Special Olympics, Inc. have joined forces to host the 2021 Special Olympics Gaming for Inclusion Together with Microsoft tournament, featuring Xbox titles Forza Motorsport 7, Madden NFL 22 and Rocket League. The tournaments for each title will occur September 12-14, 2021. The week will conclude with the Celebrity Showcase Broadcast on September 18, where Special Olympics will show game play highlights from the week, interview participants, and the Special Olympics tournament winners will get to play games alongside celebrities. The tournaments and Celebrity showcase will be streamed on Xbox on Twitch and Special Olympics YouTube channel.
