Become A Coach

Why Become a Special Olympics Florida Coach?

Coaches are heroes to our athletes – and athletes often become heroes to our coaches. Special Olympics Florida coaches model good sportsmanship and character to enrich the overall sports experience for athletes. They are role models who give our 60,000 participants courage and the capacity to learn, grow and improve. Lessons learned on the playing field—teamwork, self-discipline, and confidence—transcend into the athletes’ everyday lives.

Coaches and athletes form deep, meaningful connections that extend beyond the playing field and often last for years. It can be truly magical.

No sports expertise is needed. We will provide all necessary training and be with you along the way. All you need is a desire to help our athletes lead happier, more satisfying lives.
