Fundraising Events and Promotions

Every year, Special Olympics Florida holds several major specialty fundraising events as well as ongoing fundraising programs, that help support our local Special Olympics programs.  These are great ways to get involved and help raise money, all while having a lot of FUN!

South Region Pickleball Clinic

Plantation Central Park, 9151 NW 2nd Street, Plantation
Purpose: Teach Special Olympics athletes about the sport of pickleball, led by pro tour athlete Andy Rubenstein. This clinic will provide an overview of the sport, rules, and training for our athletes.   Contact:  Phil Farinacci, (347) 604 1550

Tip-A-Cop Event

Tip-A-Cop fundraising events are organized by local law enforcement officers, where they serve as celebrity waiters at restaurants and all of the tips they receive are donated to Special Olympics Florida.

Our dedicated Law Enforcement -- The Guardians of the Flame of Hope -- will carry the iconic torch during the Final Leg leading up to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games taking place in Orlando, Florida, June 5 through 12.  All are invited to witness the flame arrival in your local area as it continues its journey to the Games!  Read more to find the location near you.

Our Special Olympics Florida athlete, Unified partners, and coaches have been training for years. Now is their chance to shine and compete at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando from June 5-12. Please join us for our Team Florida Send-Off Celebrations at the following:

Tallahassee Send Off
Chiles High School: 7200 Lawton Chiles Ln Tallahassee, FL 32312

Jacksonville Send Off
TIAA Bank Field: 1 TIAA Bank Field Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32202

Guests should park in Lot J and enter the West Club Gate by the Jaguars Statue

Port St. Lucie Send Off

South Florida Send Off

Busses will drop off athletes in the Blue Lot – North End and this will be the entrance for all guests as well

Tampa Send Off

Turn into the facility (off of Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd) and follow signage for special event parking
